La Flamme Marie-Claire, a little candle from L'Occitane and Marie Claire to enlight and empower women with education

There are candles that light up the night, others that make our home cozier; this candle "La Flamme Marie-Claire" helps girls and women around the world to study.
If the flame is symbol of hope, it’s the perfect sign to remind us that education is the only weapon against ignorance and the only way to be independent. Education means future, means freedom of thought.
In order to support female education worldwide, Marie-Claire and the French skin care brand L'Occitane have collaborated with this small gesture: a scented candle that doesn’t just smell greatly thanks to its verbena and citrus notes, and that’s not only beautiful in its little pink metallic box.

Indeed, all the proceeds from the sale of “La Flamme Marie-Claire" will go to the associations Toutes √† l'√©cole, Entrepreneurs du Monde and Rev'Elles that are active in supporting the education of women.
You can find the “La Flamme Marie-Claire” candle online at the L’Occitane web store, you can find your local site here.
Till October 30th, this good candles can be bought at 7€ in France, Netherlands, Germany and Switzerland at 10CH, while in Spain at 7€ till November 22nd.
After 5 years from its start, in 2015 this charity campaign can count on the precious help from L’Occitane en Provence and from 22 godmothers among French journalists and TV presenters.
In this Instagram picture, the journalist Samira Ibrahim (@samirasamibrahim) shows why she is thankful to the school.

We can do the same! In fact, we can also support this educational project and let our family and friends know about it with our own “instapic” containing the hashtag #gracealecole.
Endless piles of book aren’t a burden if they help us to build a real, independent future.
Thank you.
